ALL GROWTH IS A LEAP IN THE DARK By Melody Green
"All growth is a leap in the dark, A spontaneous unpremeditated act Without the benefit of experience." Henry Miller In the above quotation, Henry Miller was speaking of Faith. The faith a seed has when it is placed in the ground. It grows though no one can see it, knowing that it is being everything it is meant to be, even when there appears no acknowledgement of its action. This is what is being asked of us now, that we have faith in the midst of changes we cannot clearly see, in times that are uncertain and for which we appear to have little experience. This is the faith we need to have when we embark on our conscious soul's journey as much as when we decide to travel. What an experience it is to travel! It teaches us to have faith. We may plan our holiday well, yet we are always at the mercy of change and unforeseen circumstances. Our ability to flow with those changes and make the most of what is happening to us is enabled by the underlying faith that we are ok, no matter what. What's more it is this faith that allows the journey to unfold and make it the unforgettable memory it becomes. In the current extremes of fluctuating fortune we need strong self faith. A faith that allows us to travel, to grow and to become more of who we are meant to be in ourselves and the world around us we create. This is a time of extraordinary opportunity and as soul travellers we already know this - we have just had a momentary memory lapse -when our memory returns so too will our capabilities, our strengths and our talents that are yearning to be released so that we may forge ahead on the road of this collective journey. In the interim become watchers, voyeurs, witnesses -be as a tourist in a foreign land. Soak up the experience, the aromas, the colours and the flavours of this new world we are in and know when the time is perfect you will bloom into the glory of your being-ness as surely as the seed becomes the plant.
